Although the dialogue does have a tendency to become a bit cheesy, such as lovable dad quoting Forest Gump, overall the quirky family animation scenes are fun and entertaining.

With 20 chapters to play and multiple vibrant locations to sift for items in each chapter, this game ensures hours of enjoyable hidden object hunting. Objects unfortunately do not move each time a location is played, but there are enough objects in each room to play several times and still expect a challenge.

Another unique feature is Scruffy's help finding objects. To entice him to bark you must feed him a treat, beginning with three treats each chapter with extra hidden treats hidden in each room. The kids even squabble a bit and grandpa is a hoot.

While in each room, you find a bone highlighted as you cursor near it for him. Untimed is actually timed, but you get a really generous 90 minutes in the latter half of the game to search 4 or 5 rooms I think you started with 60 for 2 rooms at the beginning.

Scruffy is not able to help in this part of the search, but the items are fairly easy to find and they all have a story attached. In scribbles, the little boy will scribble on the photo, which you have to find.

Find 15 scribbles and you get a gold star. Collect 20 gold stars, and the kids will show you a delightful little secret. It's not overly challenging, so it's a good one for beginner to intermediate. Advanced players may want more challenge. Sometimes though it's just fun to play something that is light hearted and humorous. I get tired of the dark, evil tales with menacing characters so this game was a welcome break. It was quite challenging, the characters were cute, and even the mini game Scribbles was fun. I loved using Scruffy, the dog to help me find items. Hidden Object games are probably my most favorite kind of game on Big Fish, and this one is easily one of my favorites. I thought it was a nice change from the scary, dark hidden object games.
